This is a fulltime hybrid role based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for strengthening Zurich BeNe’s operational resilience by maintaining and improving the Business Continuity framework, ensuring robust governance processes, and supporting managing third‑party risks with a particular focus on data flows and criticality assessments. You will ensure compliance with Group requirements, regulatory expectations, and audit standards
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Resilience
- Maintain, improve, and periodically update the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework for the BeNe organization.
- Drive and own Business Impact Analyses (BIA), continuity plans, crisis management processes, and recovery exercises.
- Monitor BCM compliance, track remediation actions, and ensure alignment with Group Resilience standards.
- Drive BCM reporting for senior management and regulators (where applicable).
- Act as the first point of contact for resilience‑related queries within BeNe.
B. Governance
- Continuously evaluate process changes and assess their impact on internal controls, risk exposure, and compliance requirements.
- Own local implementation of new regulations and Group requirements
- Manage internal control testing, self‑assessments, and annual control reviews in cooperation with Risk, Audit, BISO, and Operations.
- Support program effectiveness audits, ensuring timely preparation, documentation, and closure of findings.
- Ensure clear documentation, ownership, and accountability across processes.
C. Third‑Party Risk & Data Flow Management
- Identify, document, and maintain third‑party data flows, including classification of processed data and data transfer routes.
- Actively guide our service owners through the Third-Party criticality assessments to ensure alignment with the BIA, BCM and DORA process.
- Drive the local app approval and Cloud Approval process.
Qualifications
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in business continuity, resilience, crisis management and governance frameworks
- Strong analytical ability and structured way of working
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex regulations into practical, local procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and Dutch.
